About / Our Vetting Process

Vetted for the real world.

MUSTER is built for serious professionals who want to move into better offshore, FIFO, and site leadership work without being buried under generic job boards or empty promises.

What vetted actually means

Three checks before a role gets near the live board.

Vetted is not a buzzword here. It means trade relevance, certification evidence, and an honest fit conversation before anyone is shortlisted.

Trade fitTicket checkReference or experience checkCountry fit
  • Relevant trade, production, marine, medical, camp, or operations experience aligned to the role and region.
  • A practical review of current licenses, tickets, safety records, medical status, and rotation tolerance.
  • A reference or experience check where needed before a candidate is moved toward shortlisted access.
  • An honest conversation about the right country, pay band, and visa reality for the candidate's current position.

How the process works

Application first. Access second.

Anyone can browse the site. Access to the live openings board, consultation booking, and the premium dossier work is reserved for candidates who submit a Candidate Profile and pass a basic fit review.

That keeps MUSTER focused on people who are operationally serious, not just curious browsers.

The Founders

Built by people who know the work.

MUSTER started as a network of offshore professionals who believed the best hiring decisions are made by people who understand operational realities. Rather than another CV-forwarding service, the founders built a platform that reads experience in context - where "12 years" is traced to specific assets, equipment, and responsibilities.

The founders - Richard Ervine (offshore operations & marine engineering), Wolter Malohing (crew management & recruitment) and Cosmin Floarea (drilling engineering) - brought complementary operational and hiring experience. Over time they were joined by Babs Omotowa as a strategic partner and adviser, adding executive and international leadership perspective.

Today MUSTER combines that practical lens with structured candidate records, verified certifications, and a selective review process designed to match people to the right roles, regions, and operators. The result is a trust-first approach: real industry people vouch for the people they present.

The human side

Built by people who know the work.

Operator lens

We know what good looks like.

We speak in terms of rotation quality, safety discipline, visa reality, and site fit, not generic talent language.

Straight talk

We tell you when a lane is not right.

Being honest about a country, visa route, or role fit protects everyone from wasted time and wasted travel.

Confidential

We keep the process serious.

Candidate profiles are reviewed with discretion. The point is to create better matches, not to flood the market with noise.

Testimonials

Candidate Experiences (Draft / Review)

Short, specific quotes from candidates placed through the MUSTER network.

Relocated driller testimonial
Relocated Driller

"From Western Australia to Newfoundland."

MUSTER helped me map my Australian well-control tickets to the Canadian equivalent. Rebuilding my ATS dossier was the difference-maker in getting selected for the Hibernia rotation.

Camp manager testimonial
Camp Manager

"Realistic advice on FIFO rotations."

I wanted to move from remote camp services in NT to a larger operation in WA. The advisor was completely honest about the rotation tolerance checks and the safety ticket preparation needed.

First offshore role testimonial
First Offshore Role

"Broke through the entry barrier."

I had five years as a mainland plant electrician but couldn't get a look-in for offshore. The vetting process helped me identify the exact safety certificates I needed to pick up first.
